Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Interferential Current Therapy

Electrical stimulation is a treatment to help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote healing. Electrical stimulation uses low-level electrical impulses to stimulate the muscles and nerves.

During your treatment, electrodes are placed on the skin over the affected area. The electrodes are connected to a machine that delivers electrical impulses to the muscles. The impulses cause the muscles to contract and relax, similar to how they would during exercise.

Electrical stimulation can be useful for patients with muscle spasms, strains, or other muscle-related injuries. It can also be used to help improve range of motion and flexibility in the affected area.

  • Stimulate Healing Hormones
  • Helps Blood Circulation

TENS Current Therapy

A second form of muscle stem is TENS is a non-invasive, inexpensive, self-administered technique to relieve pain. Pain relief with conventional TENS is rapid in onset and offset and is maximal when the patient experiences a strong but non-painful paraesthesia beneath the electrodes. Therefore, patients may need to administer TENS throughout the day.

The difference between interferential and TENS is that TENS delivers low-frequency current across the surface of the skin, while IFC delivers a higher frequency current that penetrates deeper into the tissue with less discomfort
